Comments Encrusting hydrocoral. Forms large, colourful patches on rock surfaces. This particular colony is white, which is quite unusual. Abundant in current-swept passages such as Porlier Pass, Sechelt Rapids, Gabriola Pass and Dawley Passage. Stylantheca papillosa is the accepted name according to Cairns and Lindner, 2011, Zookeys 158: 1-88.
