The British Columbia Inter-Ministry Invasive Species Working Group is developing a “weed alert” list for BC that will eventually be used as the basis for a legislated “prohibited species” list in the province through the Weed Control Act Regulation.  The following list is the current working list of species for inclusion. Sightings of any of these species should be reported.

View the Working Group web site.

View the current list of proposed prohibited noxous weeds for BC.

Please note that not all of proposed noxious species have yet been reported or confirmed for British Columbia. Those that have not been reported or confirmed are not covered by E-Flora BC.

Report sightings of these species to the Report-a-Weed program. Or call 1‐888‐WEEDSBC.
